01 Definition

What is industrial PLC programming?

Industrial PLC programming is the development of the software that controls a machine or a line: sequences, interlocks, safety, communication with robots and the operator interface. We write it on the client's platform, such as Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000 or Beckhoff TwinCAT, and validate it against a digital twin before installation.

02 Automation design

PLC software validated in a virtual environment.

Our industrial PLC programming is written, simulated and debugged against the cell model, cutting on-site commissioning time.

03 Offline PLC programming

PLC automation for your industry.

  1. Siemens TIA

    Portal and standard libraries.

  2. Rockwell

    Studio 5000 and Logix.

  3. Beckhoff

    TwinCAT and PC-based control.

  4. Libraries

    Reusable blocks by OEM standard.

04 Capabilities

What we deliver

  1. PLC logic

Structured, maintainable code in the customer's chosen platform, following OEM and plant standards.

  2. HMI design

Operator interfaces that make line state obvious and actions fast, built around real operator workflows.

  3. SCADA configuration

Screens, alarms, trends and user management tuned to the plant's SCADA platform of choice.

  4. MES & data integration

Production data, order handoff and KPI capture wired into the customer's MES or IoT stack.

  5. Safety logic

Safe PLC programming, SIL validation and certification-ready documentation.

  6. Virtual commissioning

Every sequence tested against a digital twin before deployment, cutting startup time and on-site risk.

05 Commissioning

The RBX Programming automated process

  1. Phase 01

    Architecture & signals

We define the hardware, network and signal map with you.

  2. Phase 02

    Pre-validated development

Logic, HMI and safety tested against a virtual PLC.

  3. Phase 03

    Integration & startup

SCADA/MES connected and commissioned on the plant floor.

06 Case study

9 PLCs validated before a single machine was connected.

On the body-in-white line from our virtual commissioning case study, the logic of 9 PLCs coordinating 111 robots was tested against the digital twin before Power On. Sequences, interlocks and safety arrived validated, and on-site work shifted from debugging to verification. On-site commissioning hours fell from 23,058 to 13,423.

9

PLCs validated against the digital twin before Power On.

25

Weeks to full production, against 53 with the traditional model.

3

Validation cycles at startup, against 6.

07 Comparison

Logic tested on site versus pre-validated logic.

  1. First test of the logic

Traditionally, on the real machine with the installation team waiting. Pre-validated, against a virtual PLC and the cell model.

  2. Sequences and interlocks

On site they are debugged by stopping the line. In the twin, faults, stops and edge cases are forced with no risk to people or equipment.

  3. Safety

On site it is checked at the end. Pre-validated, emergency stops, guarded zones and muting are tested before power-up.

  4. HMI, SCADA and MES

On site they are connected at the end of the project. Pre-validated, screens, alarms and production data are tested together with the logic.

08 FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which PLC platforms do you work with?
Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000 and Logix, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Mitsubishi and Schneider. We work on the platform and with the standard libraries your plant already uses.
Do you also handle HMI programming and SCADA integration?
Yes. We design operator screens and configure SCADA, with alarms, trends and user management, on the client's platform and with the same structure as the PLC logic.
How do you integrate PLCs with MES?
We connect the line to the client's MES or IoT stack over OPC UA and MQTT: order hand-off, production data and KPI capture, tested together with the rest of the logic before startup.
Can you work to our OEM or plant PLC standard?
Yes. We build on reusable block libraries per OEM standard and adopt the plant's programming standard where one exists, so the maintenance team can read and change the code.
Do you program safety logic?
Yes: safety PLC programming with emergency stops, guarded zones and muting, SIL validation and certification-ready documentation, all tested in the digital twin before the cell is powered up.
What is the advantage of validating PLC programs against a digital twin?
Sequence, signal and safety errors show up in the engineering office instead of on the plant floor. The program reaches startup tested against the complete cell, which shortens commissioning and lowers the risk of stopping the line.
