RBX Programming brings electrical engineering, PLC software, robot programming and virtual commissioning under a single integrated team, so the people who design your line are the people who commission it.
Our path
Our story
RBX started as two robot programmers who left the integrator they worked for. Twelve years later the company runs four disciplines under one roof. What connects the two ends is virtual commissioning: testing a line against a simulated plant before the plant exists. We did not adopt it as a strategy. We adopted it because a customer’s line left us no other way to hit the date.
- 2014
Two robot programmers leave the integrator they work for and found RBX in Valencia. The work is robot and PLC programming, on site, for automotive lines.
- 2018
A battery enclosure line for Tesla. The schedule leaves no room to debug on the plant floor, so we program and test against a simulation of the line first. It is our first virtual commissioning project.
- 2021
We create an R&D department. Virtual commissioning stops being something a few engineers do well and becomes something the company can teach, repeat and improve.
- 2024
RBX turns ten and opens a branch in the United States. Our customers’ lines were already there. Now our engineers are too.
- 2025
We create an AI department not to keep pace with the technology, but to get ahead of it and turn it into something useful on real production lines. It is the same thinking that led us to virtual commissioning in 2018: build the capability early, prove it on our own engineering, and only then take it to a customer’s plant.
Today RBX is one team across electrical engineering, PLC software, robot programming and virtual commissioning, working from Valencia and Austin.
